Now I just have to transition from exams/moving/travel/moving to working at a fascinating summer job and relaxing with friends. I'm doing a small genetic screen in yeasts (which are SO FUN to work with) at a lab at Dana Farber in Boston.
I'm living in Coolidge Corner in a sweet apartment- an elevator, AC, a huge flat screen TV with a million channels. Its so fab I don't know what to do with myself. I feel like I need to study or squeeze in a few errands or "cheat" by watching a movie. But I'm allowed! I can sit and enjoy and breathe for the first time in months. I do love the intensity and the pace of school but man, this is great.
Not only is the job fun and interesting and the digs amazing, I'm surrounded by some of my most favourite people in the world. I can't wait to catch up with everyone. I want to read books, hit up some tag sales and flea markets, cook, work out... it's going to be great.
OH- and the best part of this week: $18 for 24 classes at Healthworks in Brookline. Amazing facilities, super women friendly space... such a good deal via BuyWithMe.
If I can master the Brachial Plexus, hopefully I can figure out "relaxation"
