Back from a long hiatus

So my last proper blog entry was November 2009. Its been far too long since I've posted anything. So I've decided, once again, to start writing. I think I stopped writing because, well, I didn't have many positive things to say. And rather than drone on about how much work I had to do, or how boring it was to be a medical student, I chose to push through and focus on my studies rather than wallow in a situation that I willingly signed up for. I even turned off facebook for a few months-- I kind of held my breath, buckled down, and realized that things not involving EKGs, anti-arrythmics and studying for boards would have to wait a few months-- because honestly, no one wants to read about that type of thing, not even other medical students. Medicine is only exciting when you close the books, leave the library and start interacting with real live humans-- at least to me.

So I'm back to writing, inspired by a few other blogs and the travels and accomplishments of my friends and family. And of course, getting myself into the same types of situations that Maura Hannah said "Only seem to happen to YOU."

First dinner back in CT. After months of dining on leftovers, frozen dinners and pop corn, I came back to the B-O-W and was quite spoiled...

A few photos from my last month in Maine. I was subletting a beach front condo in Old Orchard Beach. I was living in a huge commune-type farm house in Kennebunkport, but decided to treat myself my last few weeks in Maine when live on the farm got a little "zooey".

The Staedtler pens, the cup of tea and my macbook-- and of course that view-- made studying far more tolerable, dare I say even enjoyable?

Early May, before the tourists descend on Old Orchard
